Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn and X posts in a campaign
Paste any Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn or X post link into your campaign and Keepface works out the platform, the post type and the author, reads what the platform gives, copies the images so they keep working, and reads reach and impressions off the insights screenshots you upload.
A campaign’s results are the posts that went out. Keepface reads six platforms: Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn and X.
Add posts
On your campaign, open the influencers screen and press Add post.
- Paste one link, or a whole batch, one per line (commas and semicolons work too).
- Keepface works out the platform, the post type and who published it. There is no form to fill in.
- Rows appear straight away and fill themselves in as the numbers land. Reading a link takes a few seconds to a couple of minutes depending on the platform, and you can leave the page entirely.
- A link that is not one of the six platforms is rejected, and a post you already added is skipped rather than duplicated.
Adding posts needs the daily-work right, so Owners, Admins and Members can do it. Viewers cannot.
What each status means
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Reading… | Still reading this link |
| Read | The numbers in this row came from the platform |
| No metrics | The author is identified, but the platform gave no numbers. Enter them by hand |
| Failed | The link could not be read. Try again, or type the numbers in |
The status is about the link, not about the post’s performance.
Where each platform’s numbers come from
| Platform | Source | Post type read off the link |
|---|---|---|
| Keepface social scraper | Post, Reel or Story | |
| TikTok | Keepface social scraper | Video or photo |
| YouTube | YouTube Data API | Video or Short |
| Apify actor | Post | |
| Apify actor | Post | |
| X | Apify actor | Post |
Facebook, LinkedIn and X links all land as Post, because their URLs do not say which format they are. Change the type on the row if it matters: post, reel, story, video, short and carousel are accepted.
Three things happen on top of the raw read:
- Images that keep working. Facebook, LinkedIn, X and YouTube sign their image URLs and expire them within days. Keepface copies the thumbnail and the author avatar onto its own media host first, so a report opened months later still shows them.
- Follower counts on Facebook and LinkedIn. Those post readers carry no follower count, so Keepface uses the influencer’s Keepface account when it has one, and otherwise reads the profile once and caches it for a week. Without a follower count there is no engagement rate.
- X is stored as X. Rows written as “twitter” are normalised to
xon offers, posts and influencer records, so one platform never splits into two in a report.
Nothing is invented. A metric the platform did not give is left missing, never written as zero.
Insights screenshots and OCR
Reach, impressions and saves only exist inside the publisher’s own insights screen. Upload those screenshots on the post (up to 12 per post) and Keepface reads the numbers off them:
- Only blank fields are filled. Anything you typed stays.
- The panel tells you which fields it read, or says “No numbers found, type them in”.
- For posts submitted with analytics screenshots, the read is also retried in the background: three attempts, 30 seconds then 5 minutes then 30 minutes apart, plus an hourly sweep for rows that still have no reach.
The reader knows the vocabulary of each analytics screen:
| Screen | Examples it maps |
|---|---|
| Instagram Reel insights | ”Viewers” is the reel’s reach, “Views” under Overview is the play count |
| Instagram Story insights | Views become impressions, accounts reached becomes reach, never copied into one another |
| YouTube Studio | Unique viewers becomes reach, impressions stay impressions, watch time is ignored |
| Meta Business Suite | Accounts reached, impressions, plays, reactions, shares, saves, post engagements |
| LinkedIn post analytics | Members reached becomes reach, reposts become shares, followers gained is not a follower total |
| X post analytics | Impressions, replies become comments, reposts and quotes become shares, bookmarks become saves |
If only one of a pair is visible on the screenshot, the missing one is left empty rather than mirrored.
Corrections and reports
- Editing a figure by hand marks the row as read, and a later retry never clears what you typed.
- The engagement rate follows whatever the row ends up holding, so a corrected like count does not leave a stale percentage behind.
- Campaign reports, the shared report link and the PPTX export label, link and chart all six platforms.
- The proposal forecast still only projects Instagram, TikTok and YouTube. Facebook, LinkedIn and X show a dash rather than a guess.
A note on briefs
The platform list you can brief a deliverable on is wider than the six that can be read automatically (it also includes Pinterest, Snapchat and Twitch, see Define deliverables). Posts on those platforms are tracked with figures entered by hand.

Frequently asked questions
Which links can I paste?
Instagram, TikTok, YouTube (including Shorts), Facebook (including fb.watch), X (x.com and twitter.com) and LinkedIn. Anything else comes back as an unsupported platform and no row is created.
Why does a row say "No metrics"?
The link was opened and the author identified, but the platform handed over no numbers for that post. It is not an error. Upload the insights screenshot or type the figures in.
Why is reach empty on posts that clearly performed?
Reach, impressions and saves only exist inside the publisher's own insights screen. No scraper can reach them, so they come from an uploaded screenshot or from a number typed by hand.
Will OCR overwrite a number I typed?
No. It only fills blank fields. A number you entered is yours and stays.
What happens if I paste the same post twice?
Nothing. The same URL, with or without tracking parameters, is recognised as a post the campaign already has and is skipped instead of duplicated.
