Performance rewards, pay per view, click or action
A Performance reward pays an influencer a rate per measured event up to a budget cap you set, and Keepface settles it automatically once the measurement window closes.
A Performance reward is the compensation block for events that do not bring money in: views, engagements, clicks, leads and signups. Sales belong in the Affiliate block instead. See How compensation models work for the dividing rule.
Switch it on with the Performance reward card in the Compensation step of the campaign form.
Pick one metric
One metric per campaign, chosen from a single dropdown. Each option carries a “What does this mean?” explainer next to it in the form.
| Metric | Rate is priced | Measured from |
|---|---|---|
| CPM | per 1,000 views | the published post |
| CPV | per view | the published post |
| CPE | per engagement | the published post |
| CPC | per click | a Keepface tracked link |
| CPA | per action, and you choose lead or signup | a Keepface tracked link and your conversion postback |
When you pick CPC or CPA the form shows a note that a tracked link is required, and Keepface adds one to the deliverable automatically. CPA also forces you to say which action counts, and the campaign will not save without it.
Set the four numbers
- Rate. What one event is worth. For CPM this is the price of 1,000 views, for everything else it is the price of a single event.
- Budget cap. Required. This is the ceiling for one influencer on this campaign. The payout is the rate multiplied by the measured value, never more than the cap.
- Measurement window. 1 to 90 days after posting. The field starts at 14.
- Escrow guarantee. How much of the cap is actually reserved.
Estimate-lock or Full-cap lock
The cap is the ceiling, not the amount that gets frozen. Those are two separate decisions and the form asks both.
- Estimate-lock (recommended, and preselected) reserves a forecast instead of the whole cap. You free up capital, and if an influencer over-delivers, the difference between the forecast and the real payout is charged from your wallet when the window closes.
- Full-cap lock reserves the entire cap per influencer. Nothing can surprise you at settlement, but the money sits frozen until the window closes.
In Self mode no funds are locked at all. The reward is paid from your wallet after measurement, which means the influencer carries the credit risk.
Optional: one shared budget pool
Instead of reserving each influencer’s cap separately, tick Fund a shared budget pool and prepay a single amount for the whole campaign. Reservations then draw from that pool. The pool is funded from the brand wallet after the campaign is saved, and you can top it up later.
How settlement works
- The influencer publishes the deliverable and the measurement window starts.
- When the window closes, Keepface resolves the real metric value from the post data, the tracked link clicks or the recorded conversions, depending on the metric.
- Payout is the rate multiplied by the measured value, capped at your budget cap.
- The influencer receives 80 percent and Keepface keeps 20 percent, the same split as a fixed payment.
- Anything reserved and not earned is released back to you.
The settlement sweep runs every 30 minutes, so a window that closes mid-hour is settled without waiting for a daily batch. An unusually high lead or signup count is diverted to manual review instead of being paid straight up to the cap, which is the fraud guard for the two cheapest events to fake.
Where the influencer sees it
On the campaign page the influencer gets a Performance reward card showing the rate per unit, the cap and how many days after posting the measurement runs. Once the window has settled the card shows the earned amount with a Confirmed badge.

Frequently asked questions
Which metrics can I choose?
One metric per campaign, from CPM (per 1,000 views), CPV (per view), CPE (per engagement), CPC (per click) and CPA (per signup or lead). CPA also asks which action counts. App install is recognised by the schema but is not selectable yet, because it needs a mobile measurement partner postback that is not wired.
Is the budget cap optional?
No. The cap is required and must be greater than zero. Without it a viral post would have no ceiling, and there would be no amount to reserve in escrow.
What is the difference between Estimate-lock and Full-cap lock?
Estimate-lock reserves a forecast rather than the whole cap, so less of your wallet is frozen, and anything the influencer earns above the forecast is charged when the window closes. Full-cap lock reserves the entire cap upfront, which guarantees the money is there but freezes more capital.
How long is the measurement window?
Between 1 and 90 days after posting, and the field starts at 14. The reward is computed on the metric value at the end of that window.
Do CPC and CPA need anything extra from me?
They need a tracked link, and Keepface adds one to the deliverable automatically. CPM, CPV and CPE are measured from the published post itself.
