Rewards your insiders can redeem

The rewards catalog holds four kinds of reward (coupon template, drop code pool, free product, tier perk), each priced in points and redeemable from the Insiders portal.

A points economy with nothing to buy stops working within a week. The rewards catalog is where points turn into something a customer wants.

The four kinds

KindHow it deliversRuns out?
Coupon templateMints a unique discount code per redemptionNo
Drop code poolServes the next code from a finite list you uploadYes, when the list empties
Free productNotifies your ops team to fulfil by handOnly if you set stock
Tier perkFlips a flag on the member profile (early access, VIP lane)No

Build your first one

  1. Open Tasks then Rewards
  2. New reward, pick the kind
  3. Set the title, the short description a customer reads, and an image
  4. Set the points price
  5. Optionally set stock, a per-member limit, and an expiry
  6. Save, and it appears in the portal immediately

A sensible starter is a 10 percent coupon at 500 points: reachable in about a week of light activity, which is what keeps a new program moving. The Get started page can create exactly this in one click.

What a redemption does

When a member taps Redeem in the portal:

  1. Their balance is checked against the price
  2. The points are debited in the same transaction that issues the reward, so a failure cannot leave them charged with nothing
  3. A coupon template mints a fresh code, a pool pops the next code, a free product raises an ops notification, a tier perk flips the flag
  4. The redemption is written to the reward’s redemptions list and to the audit log

Emergency stop (Settings then Governance) blocks redemptions along with approvals and grants.

Pricing the catalog

Work back from your points economy. A follow task that pays 100 points and a review that pays 300 means a 500-point reward is roughly two or three actions. Price the top of your catalog so it takes a season, not a lifetime.

  • Entry reward: about 3 to 5 tasks
  • Mid reward: about 10 tasks
  • Aspirational reward: one per quarter for your most active members

Watch the cost

Every reward redemption burns points you minted. The monthly emission cap under Settings then Governance is the ceiling on minting, and Analytics then Dashboard shows emission against redemption over your chosen window, so you can see whether your economy is inflating.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between a coupon template and a drop code pool?

A coupon template mints a fresh unique code per redemption, so it never runs out. A drop code pool serves from a finite list you upload, so it runs out when the list does.

Where do customers see the catalog?

In the Rewards tab of your Insiders portal, alongside their current points balance.

Can I gate a reward to my best customers?

Yes. Price it high, or use a tier perk so only members at a given tier can claim it.

How do I know what a reward cost me?

Each reward carries a redemptions list, and the Analytics dashboard has a reward ROI section.
