Points, levels and badges
Employees earn 20 points for an own post, 10 for a share, 3 for a comment and 2 for a like, plus one bonus point per ten audience engagements, and climb a ten-level ladder from Rookie to Icon.
Employee Advocacy runs on one point economy. Everything an employee does mints points, points decide their level, and levels plus badges are what they show off.
What each action is worth
| Action | Points |
|---|---|
| Publish an own post | 20 |
| Share a post from the library | 10 |
| Comment on a teammate’s post | 3 |
| Like a teammate’s post | 2 |
| Engagement bonus | 1 per 10 likes plus comments earned |
The engagement bonus is the important one. Ten shares that nobody reads are worth 100 points; one share that pulls 400 reactions is worth 10 plus 40. It keeps the leaderboard from turning into a volume contest.
The ten-level ladder
| Level | Name | Points |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Rookie | 0 |
| 2 | Explorer | 50 |
| 3 | Contributor | 100 |
| 4 | Activist | 200 |
| 5 | Advocate | 400 |
| 6 | Insider | 700 |
| 7 | Ambassador | 1,200 |
| 8 | Champion | 2,000 |
| 9 | Legend | 3,000 |
| 10 | Icon | 5,000 |
Early rungs come fast on purpose, so a newcomer sees progress in their first week. The top ones are a long climb: Icon is multi-year steady advocacy, not a good quarter.
Retuning the ladder
Settings then Gamification lets you change, per level:
- The name (call level 5 whatever your culture calls it)
- The points it takes, as long as each level costs more than the one before
- The tagline shown in the level detail modal
- Up to six perks the level unlocks
Level 1 always starts at 0. Anything you leave alone keeps its default, and a per-level reset restores the original.
Badges
Twenty-nine badges in seven categories:
| Category | Rewards |
|---|---|
| Sharing | 1, 10, 25, 50 and 100 shares |
| Creating | 1, 5, 15 and 30 approved own posts |
| Team spirit | Likes and comments given to teammates |
| Buzz | 100, 500 and 2,000 audience engagements earned |
| Mastery | Channel range, weekly streaks, sharing within 48 hours of publication |
| Streaks | 3, 7, 30 and 100 consecutive active days |
| Milestones | Joining, 10,000 total views, one year in the program |
Badges are evaluated after every share, so a newly earned one shows up immediately. When new badge keys ship they are backfilled silently, which is why an employee will not get a notification storm for history.
Where it shows
Levels appear on an employee’s avatar chip, on their personal advocacy page and on the team leaderboard. The badge gallery and the level journey live on the Achievements page of their brand hub.

Frequently asked questions
Can I change how many points an action is worth?
Not today. The action values are fixed so standings stay comparable. What you can retune is the level ladder, its names, taglines and perks.
What is the engagement bonus?
One extra point for every ten likes plus comments a share or own post earns from its audience. It rewards content that actually lands, not just volume.
How many badges are there?
Twenty-nine, across seven categories: sharing, creating, team spirit, buzz, mastery, streaks and milestones.
Do employees get emailed about achievements?
Only if you turn it on under Settings then Gamification. It is off by default and never sends retroactively.
Where does an employee see all this?
On their brand hub, which has a dedicated Achievements page showing the level journey and the full badge catalog with progress.
