Disputes and the 7-day window

The 7-day clock starts when an influencer submits a deliverable. Raising a dispute pauses it; resolving the dispute resumes or ends the clock depending on the outcome.

The clock

Starts when the influencer submits. Counts down 7 days. At zero, auto-approval releases escrow.

What pauses it

  • Raising a dispute pauses immediately
  • Mutual agreement to extend (some campaigns ship with a 14-day clock by config)

What resumes / ends it

  • Dispute resolved in influencer’s favor → escrow releases (clock irrelevant)
  • Dispute resolved in brand’s favor → escrow refunds (clock irrelevant)
  • Mutually withdrawn dispute (influencer reposted with fix, you approved) → clock effectively ends, normal approval applies

Why 7 days

Empirically the right balance. Shorter and brands feel rushed; longer and influencers wait too long for payment. We don’t customize per-campaign (would create gaming opportunities).

See Dispute resolution policy for the full process.
