The plan document and the PDF

The plan document is nine sections generated from your board, every figure carrying where it came from and no influencer identities in it, downloadable as a PDF or a PowerPoint.

The board is where you work. The document is the other thing: the version a director or an owner reads once, in order, without you in the room.

Find it on the board under Send this plan upward.

What is in it

Nine sections, resolved from the board you are looking at:

  1. Campaign summary, the brand, the goal, the KPI, how long it runs, the budget and its split
  2. Audience and the insight the plan stands on
  3. Creative concept, including what the campaign does not claim in your market
  4. Influencer strategy, with each average fee carrying the sample it rests on
  5. Platform and content plan, the deliverables on each step and the usage rights answer
  6. Phases and calendar, the step order and its durations
  7. How it runs, the approvals, the service mode, and what Keepface runs versus what you run
  8. Measurement and reporting, what is measured and how a sale is counted
  9. Risks and the fallback

The last slide carries the rules the figures were badged by, so a reader who was not in the conversation can judge them for themselves.

The four rules it is held to

RuleWhat you will notice
Generated, never typedNothing is written by hand. A section with nothing behind it says why it is empty.
Every figure carries its basisKeepface data, benchmark, your own answer, our assumption, or nothing stated at all.
No influencer identitiesCounts, tiers, markets and categories travel. Names, handles and ids do not.
No invented datesDay numbers and lengths only, with a line saying the dates are not set.

Downloading it

On the document card:

  • Download the PDF, the one that gets forwarded and printed
  • PowerPoint instead, if you want to edit the slides

Building the document takes a moment and the card says when it is done. If the PDF conversion fails you get the PowerPoint file and the card tells you which one you got.

Language

The plan is written in the language you wrote your prompt in, and the section headings come with it. The column headings and figure labels follow your panel only when your panel is set to that same language. This is deliberate: English chrome around an Azerbaijani plan is one document in two languages, and guessing would make it three.

Money in the document

Every money figure says which currency it is in, on the figure itself and on the document as a whole, so a total cannot be read in the wrong money once it has been forwarded. Today the board and the document quote in US dollars. Your campaign currency is a separate setting and still follows your brand wallet, see Set budget and currency.

Frequently asked questions

What language is the document in?

The plan's own language, which is the language you wrote your prompt in. The column headings follow it when your panel is set to the same language, and stay in English otherwise, so the document is never half in one language and half in another.

Why does a section say you have not asked me this yet?

Because the document is generated, never typed. A section with nothing behind it carries the reason it is empty instead of a blank page, and several of those reasons name something you can do about it.

Are the influencers named in the document?

No. No names, no handles, no account ids, no list ids. The shortlist stays on the board behind your own login. The directions and the steps themselves do travel, by title, because they are your own plan.

I got a PowerPoint when I asked for a PDF. What happened?

The PDF converter did not answer, so you were given the PowerPoint file instead. It holds the same document. Losing the document because a converter was busy would be the worst outcome available.

Does the document put dates on the phases?

No. Phases carry an order and a length in days, and the document says the dates are not set. No date is ever invented.
