Stripe payment failed, what to do

3D Secure prompt missed, card insufficient funds, bank fraud flag, or country-mismatch are the top reasons. Retry with the same card after addressing, or use a different card.

Most common reasons

  1. 3D Secure not completed, the bank’s verification popup was closed before approving. Retry; complete the popup this time.
  2. Insufficient funds, common for debit cards
  3. Bank fraud-flag, your bank flagged a foreign charge. Call your bank to approve Keepface as a merchant, then retry.
  4. Country mismatch, billing address country doesn’t match the card’s issuing country. Fix in Billing → Address.

Less common

  • Card expired, update the card in Workspace → Billing
  • Wrong CVV, re-enter; lockouts after 3 attempts
  • Stripe service issue, wait 5-10 minutes; check status.stripe.com

Retry

Top-up retries are safe, Stripe deduplicates. The failed attempt didn’t charge you (only successful charges do).

Alternative

If a single card persistently fails, add a different card or contact support to set up bank transfer (>$5,000 only).
