Set your workspace up from your website or Instagram

On the create-workspace step you can add your website (yourcompany.com) or your Instagram (@yourbrand), and Keepface reads it once in the background to fill only the empty logo, industry and description fields, reporting on your onboarding page exactly what it filled.

When you create a Company workspace, Keepface can read your public web presence once and fill in the parts of your brand profile you would otherwise type by hand.

Where the field is

On the create-workspace step, under the workspace name, there is an optional field labelled Company website or Instagram. The hint reads: “Add your website or your Instagram and we will fill in your logo, industry and description from it.”

This field is opt-in per account while it is being tested, so it is not on every account yet. If you do not see it, nothing is lost: create the workspace and fill the same fields in from Company settings.

What you can put in it

You typeWhat happens
yourcompany.com or https://yourcompany.comRead as a website
@yourbrand or an instagram.com profile linkRead as an Instagram account
yourbrand with no dotRead as an Instagram handle
A TikTok, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, YouTube or Telegram linkRefused by name: “We can read a website or an Instagram account today, not TikTok”
Anything that is not a registrable addressRefused: “That does not look like a website or an Instagram account. Try yourcompany.com or @yourbrand, or leave it empty”

Leaving it empty is always fine.

What happens next

  1. Your workspace is created immediately. Nothing about the setup blocks you.
  2. In the background, Keepface reads what you gave. A website is fetched and read. A handle has nothing to fetch, so the Instagram record Keepface already holds is the reading.
  3. What was read is classified once, and a logo is copied onto Keepface media so it keeps working even if the original moves.
  4. Only empty fields are filled: logo, industry, description, and the website on your default brand. Your workspace name is never touched.

Watching it on the onboarding page

Open /company/onboarding and a card reports the run:

StateWhat you see
Running”Reading your site…” or “Reading your Instagram account…”, naming the host or handle
Slow”This is taking longer than usual. You can carry on and come back: we keep reading in the background”
Done”We set up your profile from …”, with the logo it found, the industry, the description it read, and a list of anything else it filled
Could not read”We could not read your site, so fill these in from settings” (or the Instagram wording)

The card has a Review in settings button, and, for workspaces where the growth strategy board is open, an Open your growth strategy button.

If it fills something wrong

Everything it fills is an ordinary editable field. Open Company settings (or your brand’s settings) and change the logo, industry or description like any other field. The record of what was filled, and from which address, stays on your default brand as the audit trail for “where did this industry come from”.

Frequently asked questions

I do not see the website field when I create a workspace.

The field is being rolled out account by account. If your account is not in the rollout yet, create the workspace as usual and fill the logo, industry and description in from Company settings.

Will it overwrite what I already typed?

No. Only empty fields are filled, and each write re-checks that the field is still empty at the moment it lands. Anything you type while it runs wins, and your workspace name is never touched.

Can I give a TikTok, Facebook or LinkedIn address instead?

Not today. Those are named back to you ("We can read a website or an Instagram account today, not TikTok"). A website or an Instagram account are the two Keepface can read.

What if Keepface does not know my Instagram account?

The card says it could not read it. The handle path uses the Instagram record Keepface already holds, so an account nobody has ever collected has nothing to read.

Does it run again later?

No. It runs once, when the workspace is created, and it is not retried. Add the missing details from Company settings instead.
