Promote a post and get support
A promotion costs 20 Hype (15 from Champion level), stays open for 7 days, completes at 25 verified supports, and you can have 3 active promotions at once.
Promoting puts one of your own posts into the support feed and into the circles you choose, so members can like, comment on and share it. It costs Hype, which you earn by supporting others first.
Before you promote
- The post must be yours, published on a social account connected to your influencer workspace.
- The platform must be Instagram, TikTok or YouTube. These are the platforms verification can read.
- The link must point at a specific post, not a profile. Shortened links (for example
vm.tiktok.com) are expanded automatically. - You need enough Hype, and you must be inside the fairness ratio.
Promote a post, step by step
- Open Circle, then the Promote box on the Feed (or the Promote action in a circle’s composer).
- Paste your post link. The platform is detected from the link.
- Pick 1 to 5 circles to publish it in. You can only pick circles you are an active member or the owner of.
- Add an optional note, up to 200 characters, to tell members what the post is about.
- Confirm. The button shows the exact price, for example “Promote for 20 Hype”.
The Hype is charged the moment the promotion is created. Your thumbnail and baseline metrics are fetched right after, which can take a few seconds.
The numbers
| Rule | Value |
|---|---|
| Cost | 20 Hype, or 15 Hype from Champion level up |
| Time in the feed | 7 days (168 hours) |
| Completion | Leaves the feed at 25 verified supports |
| Active promotions at once | 3 |
| Times one post can be promoted | 1 |
| Circles per promotion | 1 to 5 |
| Note length | 200 characters |
A circle owner can also set a shorter window for how long posts stay visible in that circle’s stream (24, 72, 120 or 168 hours, default 72). Your promotion still runs its full 7 days in the feed, but it can drop out of a circle’s stream earlier.
Circles that review posts first
Some circles require moderator approval. If you post into one, your promotion goes live everywhere else and waits in that circle’s queue, and the confirmation names the circles where it is pending. You get a notification when a moderator approves or declines it, with their reason when they give one. See Post approval, moderation and circle votes.
The fairness ratio
Over a rolling 30 days you may receive at most 1.2 times the support you have given, with a grace floor of 3 supports so new members are not blocked on day one. When you are over the line, promoting is refused with the exact number of posts you need to support first. Supporting a few more posts clears it immediately, there is nothing to appeal.
Details and the full formula are in Support other members, and the fairness ratio.
After it goes live
My Posts shows every promotion with its verified likes, comments and shares, how many claims are still pending verification, and the countdown to expiry. Open one to see:
- Who supported, the roster of supporters with their level and country
- Support back, a direct link to that member’s newest live post
- Remind me, which flags the member so you are reminded to return the favour when they promote next
A sidebar lists everyone who has ever supported your posts, ranked by verified supports, so you can tell your regulars from one-off visitors.
Why a promotion can under-deliver
- The post is private or deleted. Nothing can be verified, so claims are rejected and the post stops attracting support.
- Reports. Two reports hide a post from the feed pending review.
- It completed. At 25 verified supports the post is done and leaves the feed on purpose, so the support spreads around.
- Wrong room. A promotion in a circle with low support health collects little. Check the health figure before you pick your circles.
Good habits
- Promote fresh posts. The first hours after publishing are what the community is for.
- Spread your 3 active slots across different formats rather than three posts on the same day.
- Support first, promote second. It is cheaper (at Champion the price drops) and it keeps your ratio clear.
Frequently asked questions
Can I promote someone else's post, or a profile link?
No on both. The link must point at a specific post on one of your own connected accounts. Profile links carry no post id and are rejected, and ownership is checked again during verification.
Can I promote the same post twice?
No. A post can be promoted once, ever, across the whole platform. Submitting the same link again returns a conflict.
Why was my promotion blocked with a message about supporting more posts?
That is the fairness ratio. Over a rolling 30 days you can receive at most 1.2 times the support you give, and the message tells you exactly how many more posts to support before promoting again.
What happens when the 7 days are up?
The promotion expires, a final verification pass runs on the outstanding claims, and the post leaves the feed. Hype already spent is not returned.
Paste your post link, pick your circles, and let real members lift it.
