Turn on push notifications

The app asks for notification permission at sign-in, and if you said no you can turn it back on in iOS Settings, then pick the events you want under Settings, Notifications in the app.

Push is how the app reaches you when it is closed: an invitation, a message, a payout, a Circle event.

Allow them

The app asks the first time you sign in on an iPhone. Tap Allow.

If you tapped “Don’t Allow”, or you are not sure:

  1. Open the iOS Settings app
  2. Scroll to Keepface
  3. Tap Notifications
  4. Turn on Allow Notifications
  5. Open Keepface again so the app can register the device

Push only works on a real device. It does nothing in a simulator or in a browser.

What you receive

The same events that appear in your Keepface notification inbox. A chat push carries the sender’s name and picture, so it reads like a message rather than a system alert.

Tapping a push takes you where it belongs:

PushWhere it opens
A direct messageThat conversation
A link you shared into KeepfaceThe Circle promote screen, with the link filled in
Anything elseYour notification inbox

Banners are also shown while you are using the app, and unread notifications raise the badge on the app icon.

Choose which events push

In the app, go to Settings → Notifications. You get a grid of events by channel, with the channel picker at the top: In-app, Email, WhatsApp, Telegram. Events are grouped as Campaigns, Price quotes, Content approval, Payments and wallet, Affiliate, Profile and account, and Other.

Push mirrors the in-app column. There is no separate push column: an event with in-app switched off will not push either. Everything starts on, and only what you switch off is remembered. Press Save when you are done.

The same grid is on the web under Notification preferences.

If nothing arrives

  1. Check iOS Settings → Keepface → Notifications is on, and Focus or Do Not Disturb is not filtering it
  2. Check the event is still on in the app’s Settings → Notifications, in-app column
  3. Sign out and back in, which re-registers the device
  4. Confirm the same notifications show in your in-app inbox. If they do not, the problem is the event preference, not push

Frequently asked questions

The app never asked me about notifications. Why?

It asks once, right after you sign in on a real device. If the prompt has been answered before, iOS does not ask again and the switch lives in iOS Settings.

Can I get pushes for chat but nothing else?

Yes. Leave the in-app channel on for "New chat message" and switch off the events you do not want. Push follows the in-app column.

Why do I get a banner while I am already using the app?

Foreground notifications are shown on purpose, so a message that arrives while you are on another screen is not silently dropped.

Do pushes work on more than one device?

Yes. Each device registers itself when you sign in on it, and signing out removes that device.

Are notification settings shared with the website?

Yes. It is one set of preferences, so switching an event off in the app switches it off on keepface.com too.
