My socials won't connect
Check your account type (must be Creator/Business for IG), public visibility (TikTok blocks API on private accounts), and any platform-side flags. Most failures are platform-side configuration, not Keepface bugs.
- Must be Creator or Business account, Personal accounts can’t grant API access
- Must be linked to a Facebook Page, required for Instagram Graph API access
- Page admin permission, you must be a Page admin to authorize
Fix: convert your IG to Creator/Business in Settings → Account → Switch to Professional, link to a Page, retry.
TikTok
- Account must be public, private accounts can’t grant API access (and won’t be discoverable)
- Region restrictions, TikTok blocks API for accounts in some regions
Fix: flip to public temporarily for the OAuth, then back to private if you want (note: your tier and metrics will only update while public).
YouTube
- Must be a managed channel, auto-generated “topic” channels don’t have OAuth
- 2FA enabled is fine, but use the Google account that owns the channel
Fix: verify channel ownership in YouTube Studio first.
X / Twitter
- Account must be public, locked accounts can’t grant API access
- App-side rate limit, try again in 5 minutes
