Set up your Customer Advocacy program
Setup is three steps, enable Customer Advocacy on your workspace, import a customer list (Shopify, Woo, or CSV), and pick a default consent policy.
Three steps
1. Enable Customer Advocacy
Workspace settings → Programs → Customer Advocacy → Enable. This unlocks the Customers, Referrals, UGC Rights, Reviews, NPS, and Coupons pages in the sidebar.
2. Import your customers
Choose one:
- Shopify, connect the webhook and customers flow in continuously (see Connect Shopify)
- WooCommerce / other e-commerce, CSV upload, refresh on a schedule you pick
- Manual, for small lists or pilots
Every imported customer is created as audience_type=customer and private_seed, never surfaced in public marketplace listings.
3. Pick consent defaults
GDPR + CCPA require explicit consent for marketing outreach. Pick your defaults from Workspace settings → Consent: default opt-in country list, default channel preferences, consent expiry policy. See Customer consent.
