private_seed status explained
A `private_seed=true` profile exists in the system but doesn't appear on public lists, search, or your own preview. Used for customer/employee records and influencers brought in privately by a brand.
When private_seed is set
- Customers imported for Customer Advocacy, always
private_seed=true - Employees synced from HRIS for Employee Advocacy, always
private_seed=true - Influencers manually added by a brand (e.g. a long-standing contact who isn’t on the marketplace),
private_seed=trueuntil they self-claim - Influencers who opted out of public discovery via Profile → Privacy → Private
What it changes
- Profile doesn’t appear in public marketplace lists
- Search by handle returns no public result
- Public URL
/influencer/{handle}returns a “profile is private” page - Only the inviting brand can see and contact the profile
What it doesn’t change
- The contact still has a Keepface workspace and can log in
- Campaigns they’re in continue normally
- Wallet, earnings, payouts work as usual
Influencer perspective
If a brand added you to their CRM before you signed up, you start in private_seed. You can self-claim from your invitation email and flip to public discovery in Profile → Privacy → Visibility at any time.
